What is Agily?

 File synchronization, backup and collaboration

Agily enables people to access their files remotely even without a permanent Internet connection. Agily allows you to "share folders" beween your computers and computers of your friends and family.
There are lots of similar services out there, but Agily is different.

Agily transmits data using the shortest path possible, resulting in up to 1000% speed increase compared to traditional cloud services. When you want to move pictures from your laptop to your desktop at home using your home wireless network, the data will travel from laptop to desktop directly, instead of going to some remote datacenter first and then back to your home again.

Agily free service is unlimited!
Since no servers are involved in the transfer, you don't need to pay for the server storage you don't need, just to move a large DVD image from one computer to another. You use your own network to move data and your own disk drives to store it, so why do we need to charge you?
Agily is private
You can restrain your files within your networks and they will never leave your home, your office or any other environment you trust.
Agily is very simple to use
Basically, all you need is email address and password. Then you can create "groups", invite other people there and map these groups to folders. You may have a Family group for ocassional exchanging pictures and other files with family, Work group to access your office documents from home or on the road and so on. The number of groups and thus folders is unlimited. The amount of data you can share is also unlimited.
Agily is quite sophisticated though
It supports file versions, conflict resolution and you can use a synchronized folder as a collaboration tool (this functionality is not exposed in beta)

It also works in offline too! You can use synchronized folders while working offline (like on the plane) and all changes to shared files will be properly recorded and kept until you connect back online.

It all sounds too good to be free. Will I need to pay eventually?

If you wish. You will be able to buy a space on our servers to add more redundancy to your important files. And you'll need to pay to access files on the web or send others clickable links to your files. In other words we will charge you when your data will cross the frontier between Agily network and conventional Internet. We will allow some reasonable amount to pass for free though.

I want to write a synchronised shopping list/address book/whatever!

Sure, go ahead. We will be providing an SDK soon (really soon) and you will be able to hack away whatever you want. API is open and while you wait for the SDK look at the overview of the platform. Sign up for the beta too, as we will be announcing the SDK release to all beta subscribers.

Can I try right now?

Of course you can. Download  software, install, run it and register a free account. Current beta software has some limitations, so read the beta page carefully and don't put it into production.
